Men’s Physical Exam and Other Services

Having annual men’s health exams can help men of all ages detect illnesses and diseases before they become a problem later in life. Being able to identify major problems with your health can help a doctor to make choices and suggestions to help prevent more complicated and serious issues from developing into more costly or life-threatening issues.

Metro Urgent Care provides a variety of men’s health services, including a men’s physical exam. If you haven’t had a men’s health exam in a while, now is always a good time to start. Schedule your physical checkup for men today with Metro Urgent Care.

Men’s Full Physical Exam

A male physical is an important part of any man’s healthy lifestyle. Make sure you are scheduling a regular men’s physical exam at least once a year to ensure that you are up to date on your overall health, the changes you may need to make, and the type of medication you need to stay healthy.

When you visit Metro Urgent Care for a male physical, we make sure to provide a comprehensive service so that you will know what the current state of your health is, as well as what you can do to further improve your health. We want to help you reduce complications in your future and it begins with your regular, annual male physical.

Your men’s physical exam will screen for the following and more:

  • Body Mass Index (BMI): a screening for obesity by measuring body fat and comparing it to your height and weight.
  • Cholesterol: may be checked depending on your age and/or BMI.
  • Blood Pressure: the higher your blood pressure is, the more likely you are to get a stroke, heart disease, or kidney disease.
  • Cardiovascular Disease: screening for cardiovascular disease can help to assess the risk of a heart attack.
  • Cancers, such as colorectal, prostate, lung, oral, or skin cancers.
  • Sexually Transmitted Diseases: common tests include STD testing for Gonorrhea, syphilis, and chlamydia.
  • HIV: may be screened, depending on certain health and lifestyle related factors.
  • Depression: always talk with your doctor if you think you may be experiencing depression, which is treatable.
  • Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm: you may be screened depending on whether or not you have smoked a certain number of times during your lifetime.
  • Diabetes: related to high blood sugar, screening for diabetes can help to identify issues related to your feet, heart, eyes, kidneys, nerves, and other parts in your body.

If you are experiencing any other kind of health complication or have uncertainty about anything you are experiencing, you can always bring this up during your health exam with your doctor to get professional advice and recommendations. This will be an opportunity for you to learn about other tests, screenings, or services that may be best for you.
